The decision to avoid traveling to India for the T20 World Cup are officially been confirmed for Bangladesh. On Sunday, the youth and sports advisor to the government of Bangladesh reported this decision. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to steer clear of India for this tournament. The tournament is set to commence on February 7.

According to the original schedule, Bangladesh was to play four matches in the T20 World Cup in India. Three of these matches were to be held in Kolkata and one in Mumbai. However, all these plans remain suspended now and the rescheduling is being discussed.
